Craft Pack of ex 50mm, Resawn straight and flat, kiln conditioned ready to work, selected for contrasting light and dark colours. Two species, both exotic species grown here in New Zealand, Aotearoa. London Plane, light in colour, with high medullary ray figure, the other, Tasmanian Blackwood, the dark wood. This Blackwood from large old trees from Hamilton gullies, milled 20 years prior, heavy, hard, dark wood.  These species selected for their contrasting colours, suitable for a Chess set or similar project.

Tasmanian Blackwood, Acacia melanoxylon, Exotic, Origin: Australia, grown in  Aotearoa - NZ, Hardwood, Moderate Durability,  Hardness is Moderate to Hard, Strong, Average Density of 610 kg/m3 , Colour: Golden Brown to Dark Brown Black.
