Rustic half slab, with an undulating live edge, suited to epoxy work. This slab has many cracks and fishers evident, wood milled from a large, twisted Chestnut tree and possibly further enhanced by many years of exposure to our extreme UV sunlight. The milled slab has undergone air drying, then placed in a dry store to fully kiln condition. Resawn flat both faces. Suitable for a rustic floating shelf or servery shelf, one edge cut straight, one edge live, or it can be cut into two halves, and the live edge turn inward, to form a small epoxy river table type top. Other such Chestnut slabs available if more than one shelf required.

This wood is Kiln Conditioned or Kiln Dry (KD), suitable for most applications where the wood is to be used for inside, dwellings, offices or other enclosed spaces which are generally drier and warmer than outside spaces. Suitable and ready to use inside, for furniture, built in joinery, mantels and other finished inside wooden works.
This Chestnut is very durable and would tolerate outside exposure, both sun and rain. We have some similar wood in an air dry state, suited to outside, this one would also work as a serving shelf between kitchen and deck area, with or without epoxy work.
