Single wide thick piece of Black Walnut, suitable for a Fire Place Mantel. The live edge of this wood has been kept and enhances the rustic natural look of the mantel. This wood has been Kiln Conditioned. Resawn flat and to a uniform thickness. Mantels with a "live edge" or sapwood present, have been treated to exclude borer. Mantels can go through several drying cycles and resaw cycles to stabilise the wood for its warm dry application.
